Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-03-16
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the WeekPlate website (weekplate.app) and meal planning service (together, the “Service”), provided by Asambl Technologies Ltd, trading as WeekPlate (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
WeekPlate is a meal planning tool that generates weekly meal plans based on your stated constraints, such as household size, dietary needs, week shape, effort level, and budget. The website provides the planning service, a waitlist, and product information.
The Service is currently in beta. Features, availability, and pricing may change over time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your Account and Data
Creating an account requires a valid email address. We use magic links for authentication, so we never store a password. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email you use to sign in.
Your planning inputs, saved meal plans, and feedback are stored on our servers to provide and improve the service. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable purpose
- attempt to access the Service through automated means beyond normal usage or interfere with its operation
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service except where permitted by law
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or related infrastructure
5. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including AI providers (currently OpenAI), email providers, analytics providers, and hosting infrastructure.
Your use of any third-party service through WeekPlate may be subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control their availability, security, or performance.
6. No Professional Advice
WeekPlate is a meal planning tool. It does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary, or other regulated professional advice.
Meal plans are generated using AI and general knowledge. We aim for practicality but cannot guarantee that every meal will suit your exact dietary needs or preferences. Always use your own judgement regarding allergies, intolerances, and nutritional requirements.
7. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain all rights to the content you create in WeekPlate, including saved meal plans and feedback. We do not claim ownership of your data.
Our Software
The WeekPlate application, website, brand, and associated materials are the property of Asambl Technologies Ltd or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand identity except as expressly permitted by us in writing.
8. Feedback
If you choose to send us feedback, ideas, suggestions, or comments, you agree that we may use them to improve the Service without restriction or compensation to you.
9. Beta Programme
The Service is currently in beta. Beta software may contain bugs, incomplete features, or unexpected behaviour. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the beta programme at any time.
10. Availability and Changes to the Service
We may update, change, suspend, or remove features or parts of the Service at any time.
We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI-generated meal plans will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asambl Technologies Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
We have no obligation to maintain or provide access to any data stored on our infrastructure after termination, except as required by law or under our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
If changes are material, we will provide notice by email to registered users where reasonably possible. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those changes.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
